real-estate-podcasts

We all enjoy a good murder mystery on the commute to work, but sometimes it is nice to find podcasts with the kind of substance that help develop your own professional skill set.  So, unless you have your Maryland real estate license, and are planning on buying up property next to the Windsor Mill Best Buy so you can flip it at a profit to obsessed Serial fans, then you may need to go beyond Sarah Koenig's hit to find podcasts that will help push your career forward.

The team here curated a list -- in no particular order -- of the best real estate podcasts with material focused on improving your sales performance as an agent and/or broker (Note: For the sake of this particular list, we will not include shows centered around real estate investment and house flipping -- although, we do hope to cover those in a later post).

Super Agents Live: Real Estate Coaching

There is no better way to improve than to learn from the best.

Toby Salgado -- a successful real estate agent and investor, among other things -- does a fantastic job of curating guests from a variety of different backgrounds in the real estate industry, all with unique perspectives and insights to be gained as the listener.  A gifted salesman from a very young age, Toby's podcast is chock full of sales fundamentals and tips that all professionals could benefit from learning from.

Pat Hiban Interviews Real Estate Rock Stars

Pat Hiban is a pretty impressive guy.

As a former RE/MAX agent of the year AND New York Times bestselling author, he has enough experience and success in the real estate world to carry a show on his own.  Pat goes a step further though, and every week brings on guests from a variety of backgrounds -- everything from Realtors, marketing specialists, and coaches -- to share their stories and talents with his audience.

As one of the longest running podcasts on this list, it is clear that Pat is onto something -- check it out below:

Kelly Mitchell's Agent Caffeine

Kelly Mitchell's Agent Caffeine is not your typical real estate podcast.

As a host, she is not afraid to bring guests onto the show with backgrounds that are not directly related to real estate -- so long as they have insight they can offer people working in the industry.  This unique approach allows you to draw inspiration from unconventional sources that can help you stand out from the herd.

Good Morning New York Real Estate With Vince Rocco

Given that we are a New York brokerage, it was only fitting that we included Vince's podcast.  As a current Manhattan resident and veteran of NYC's real estate market, Vince brings a wealth of experience from his work in the industry.

Anyone who has worked in the New York's real estate industry will tell you, its fierce competition and localized power brokers make it a fundamentally different animal than anywhere else in the country.  In turn, Vince's focus on NYC related subject matter makes the show especially actionable for those who are growing their careers in the five boroughs.

Commercial Real Estate Elite: Brokers to Brokers

Justin Lamontagne is a top performing commercial real estate broker, and in every episode he teams up with another expert in the field to provide his audience with best practices and creative strategies for standing out in one real estate's most competitive verticals.

One thing I really like about this podcast is that the discussion will often cover specific details of the deals mentioned, allowing the listener to really get an inside view into the sales process of successful agents and brokers to find takeaways for their own day-to-day.
